Motor Vehicle Module - Online Option
The On-line Motor Vehicle Module of Avitar Clerk is uniquely designed for New Hampshire communities and provides the Town with a complete motor vehicle solution that is fully compatible with the State of New Hampshire's Municipal Agent Automation Project (MAAP). Depending upon the Town's current municipal agent status, Avitar can configure the Town's installation of the Motor Vehicle system to perform as an on-line municipal agent, as an off-line municipal agent, or as a non-municipal agent (town only). The Motor Vehicle Module has the following features:
- Intuitive screens, drop-down menus, tool bars, and tab controls that allow the user to view owner, vehicle, fee and registration information from a single screen, eliminating the need to scroll through pages and pages of information.
- Allows users (depending on the Town's municipal agent status) to perform all of the common motor vehicle functions such as Renewals, New Registrations, Transfers, Decal Replacements, and Plate Replacements.
- Processes for ownership functions such as Surviving Spouse transactions and Primary/Secondary Owner Swaps.
- Functions for Title Only, Antique Titles, and Certified Copies.
- Inventory reports for the accounting of Permits, CTA, Plates, and Decals.
- Provides a daily MAAP Financial Close Out Report to assist the clerk with balancing the cash drawer.
- Supervisor, Monthly Activity and Daily DMV Transaction Log Reports.
- Can provide Price Quotes for New, Renewal and Transfer Registrations to enable the user to provide residents with cost information prior to processing the complete transaction.
- Provides streamlined functions to assist with the often complicated process of Fleet Renewals.
- Function to import the monthly DMV CD-ROM of Registration data.
- Pre-Registration Notice printing or file export to presort mailing service.
- Compass Interface import for processing Internet Registrations.
Motor Vehicle Module - Browser Option
The Motor Vehicle Browser Module of Avitar Clerk is designed for smaller New Hampshire communities that use the DMV’s MAAP Browser application to register motor vehicles. The Browser Module allows the clerk to reenter browser transactions into the Avitar Clerk system after the transaction has been processed by the State. While this option requires that the clerk double enter transactions, it allows smaller communities that do not have a significant volume of motor vehicle transactions to maintain the town accounting of motor vehicle transactions without incurring the costs associated with the Motor Vehicle On-line Module option. The Browser Module has the following features:
- A simple interface for quickly entering motor vehicle transactions already processed by the DMV's Browser application.
- Ability to maintain information for Boat transactions.
- Maintains inventory reports for Decals, CTA numbers, and Plates.
- Integrates Motor Vehicle transactions with other Clerk transactions to create a single source for all Clerk accounting.
