Avitar Associates is pleased to announce a partnership with Mark Altman & Associates (MA&A), a national leader in printing and mailing, which will enable Avitar’s municipal clients to realize significant savings in postage and distribution of property tax bills as well as motor vehicle renewal notices.
Process:
Unlike many other print and mail solutions, MA&A will print precisely what you send them. You don’t have to worry that data will be altered or that bills will not be formatted properly – MA&A prints a replica of your current bill design.
- Rather than printing to your traditional printer, export your bills and renewal notices to PDF digital format.
- Review the PDF for accuracy.
- Digitally transfer the PDF file, using secure FTP, to Avitar or directly to MA&A.
- Bills and notices will be printed, stuffed, and delivered to a USPS Sectional Center Facility within 72 hours.
- FastForward® technology provides real-time updates for residents who have filed a change of address or temporary address with the USPS, reducing your returned mail by up to 90% while at the same time providing you a list of the latest changes.
- No paper jams, no printer clatter, no preorders, no running out of forms or toner or envelopes, no stuffing, no sorting, and no paper cuts.
Cost:
MA&A achieves dramatic savings by purchasing forms and envelopes in bulk, utilizing high speed state-of-the-art professional printers, and presorting and commingling mail to achieve the lowest possible postage rates. For an idea of the savings you can experience, use the table below showing the per item cost based on the corresponding combined annual total of property tax bills and motor vehicle renewal notices:

* Cost per Item includes paper, printing, envelope, stuffing, sorting, handling, and postage. Any additional postage that does not qualify at the lowest commingled rate is billed as an additional line item.
Example:
If your municipality sends 2,500 semi-annual property tax bills and an average of 500 monthly motor vehicle renewals ((2,500 x 2) + (500 x 12) = 11,000) the total cost is $0.54 per item, or $5,940. When you include the costs of forms, printing, toner, envelopes, folding, inserting, postage, labor, equipment, and service contracts, the average municipal client saves anywhere from $0.20 to $0.23 cents per item. That translates, in this example, to approximately $2,200 – $2,530 in annual savings.
